*'Sells-itself is an idiom in America that means an item is very easy to sell.
'Has legs' is a similar colloquialism that means a product sells swiftly.
H.M. Ward & Assoc. does not promise that your book will physically grow legs. Nor does she advocate for books with newly sprouted baby legs to follow readers home in any of her courses. This would be very creepy. Possible reader reactions include horrific things, such as a 1 star review, bashing you on Goodreads, or setting your book on fire. Readers know that books should not literally have legs.
And stalking is bad no matter what. Do not follow people.
Readers who are haunted by the ash-heap of pages that was your walking, demon book are less likely to try another of your novels.
As for your book 'selling itself' please realize that we do no advocate bewitched books that take on a salesman's persona when a possible reader walks by. Plus it has a morality issue. Selling oneself is typically frowned upon.
And...
